The RUR robotics club has been around since 2023, and until now what we do was mostly talked about inside the lab. As of today we have our own place online, and this is where we will post everything that happens in the club.
What we will publish
Announcements come first. Every lecture, workshop and open day will be here before it happens, with the date, the time and the place, early enough for you to plan on coming.
Alongside them, the news: how we did at Eurobot, what worked on the robot and what burned out an hour before a match, who joined us and what we are building right now. Members will also write longer pieces about how something came to be, from the first sketch to the board that finally powered up.
- announcements of lectures, workshops and meetups
- news from competitions and from the club
- pieces by our members on how parts of the robot are made
- projects, each linked to its code
Why this matters to us
Robots are not built only by people who already know how to solder and program. Every year we are joined by people who heard about the club by chance, from a friend in class or at one of our lectures. The easier we are to find, and the clearer it is what we do, the better the odds that the people this suits will find us.
What we build in the lab is worth showing outside it.
The same goes for the faculty and for the companies backing us. When there is a place that shows what we have done, we don’t have to argue for it in words.
Get in touch
If you are a student curious about robotics, applications are open and no prior experience is required — the will to learn is enough. And if you already follow our work and have news, a writeup or photos from one of the meetups, write to us and we will publish it.
